These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Leafolio mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). Leafolio is operated by The Two Trees LLC (“Leafolio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Leafolio. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 13 years old and that you have the authority to agree to these Terms.
3. Your account
Leafolio may require you to create or access an account using an email-based sign-in method. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your account and for any activity that occurs through your account.
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account information reasonably up to date.
You may not use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or unauthorized purposes.
4. Your content
Leafolio allows you to create, upload, store, and organize content related to your plant collection, such as plant records, names, notes, photos, care history, vendor information, wishlist items, breeding records, and related information (“User Content”).
You retain ownership of your User Content. By using the Services, you grant Leafolio a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process, display, and use your User Content solely as needed to provide, maintain, support, and improve the Services.
You are responsible for your User Content and for ensuring that you have the rights necessary to upload or use it in the Services.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Services for any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or related systems;
- interfere with or disrupt the operation, security, or integrity of the Services;
- upload malicious code or content designed to damage, disable, or impair the Services;
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or entity;
- use the Services to infringe the rights of others;
- scrape, copy, reverse engineer, or misuse the Services except as permitted by law;
- use the Services in a way that could damage Leafolio, other users, or third-party providers.
6. Plant information and app content
Leafolio is designed to help users organize and document plant collections. The Services may include tools for tracking plant details, care history, photos, vendors, wishlist items, and breeding information.
Leafolio does not guarantee that plant information, care information, naming conventions, breeding information, reminders, or other content in the Services will be complete, accurate, or suitable for every plant, environment, or use case.
You are responsible for your own plant care decisions and for verifying any important information before relying on it.
7. Subscriptions and paid features
Leafolio may offer free and paid features, including Leafolio Premium.
Paid features may include expanded collection limits, additional photo storage functionality, breeding tools, or other premium features as described in the app.
Purchases and subscriptions are processed through the applicable app platform, such as Apple App Store or Google Play, or their payment partners. We do not receive your full payment card information.
Subscriptions may automatically renew unless canceled in accordance with the rules of the platform through which you purchased the subscription.
You are responsible for managing and canceling your subscription through the applicable app platform. Deleting the app or deleting your account may not automatically cancel an active subscription.
Refunds, cancellations, billing issues, and renewal terms are generally handled by the app platform through which the purchase was made, subject to that platform’s policies.
8. Free limits and Premium access
Leafolio may place limits on free accounts and may require a paid subscription to access certain features. We may change free limits, Premium features, pricing, trials, or subscription offerings from time to time.
If you lose access to Premium features due to cancellation, expiration, payment failure, refund, or other subscription changes, some features may become unavailable. We will make reasonable efforts not to delete your existing User Content solely because your subscription status changes, but certain editing, adding, exporting, syncing, or advanced features may be limited.
9. Account deletion and data deletion
You may delete your Leafolio account through the app if account deletion is available in your version of the Services. You may also contact us at support@leafolio.app with account deletion or data deletion questions.
When you delete your account, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account, subject to information we are required or permitted to retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, billing, dispute-resolution, or operational purposes.
Deleting your account may remove account-related information from our systems and may affect your ability to access User Content, subscription-linked features, or other account-based functionality.
Some information may be stored locally on your device. Locally stored information may remain on your device unless it is deleted through the app, removed by clearing app data, or removed by uninstalling the app.
Deleting your Leafolio account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. To avoid future charges, you must cancel any active subscription through the applicable app platform, such as Apple App Store or Google Play. For Apple subscriptions, you can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID subscription settings.
Some purchase, subscription, transaction, or entitlement records may remain with the applicable app platform, payment processor, or subscription management provider, subject to their own terms and retention policies.

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information.

11. Device permissions
Leafolio may request access to device features such as photos, camera, or notifications to provide features you choose to use.
You may decline permissions or change them later through your device settings. Some features may not work properly without the required permissions.
12. Third-party services
The Services may rely on or integrate with third-party services that support hosting, authentication, subscriptions, analytics, diagnostics, communications, storage, or similar functions.
Your use of third-party platforms, stores, services, or integrations may be subject to their own terms and policies. Leafolio is not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.
13. App platforms
If you download Leafolio through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another app platform, your use of the app may also be governed by that platform’s terms and policies.
For Apple users, Apple is not responsible for Leafolio or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for Leafolio. To the extent required by applicable terms, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce these Terms against you.
14. Intellectual property
The Services, including the Leafolio name, logo, design, software, interface, features, text, graphics, and other materials, are owned by The Two Trees LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property and other laws.
Except for your User Content, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Services unless we give you written permission or the law allows it.
15. Feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions, bug reports, feature requests, or other feedback, you agree that we may use that feedback without restriction or compensation to you.
16. Service availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Services at any time. We may also update, change, remove, or limit features from time to time.
We do not guarantee that the Services will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
17. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and reliability.
Leafolio is not responsible for plant damage, plant loss, incorrect plant identification, missed reminders, inaccurate records, lost data, or decisions made based on information stored in or generated by the Services.
18. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Two Trees LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, use, or other intangible losses.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Services or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:
- the amount you paid to Leafolio for the Services in the 12 months before the claim arose; or
- $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
19. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Two Trees LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to:
- your use of the Services;
- your User Content;
- your violation of these Terms;
- your violation of applicable law;
- your violation of the rights of another person or entity.
20. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if we believe you have violated these Terms, used the Services unlawfully or abusively, created risk for us or others, or if continued access may cause harm or legal exposure.
You may stop using the Services at any time.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including sections related to intellectual property, subscriptions, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute terms.
21. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
22. Dispute resolution
Before filing a legal claim, you agree to contact us at support@leafolio.app and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will also make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes informally.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
23. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
